Brain Guardian Labs, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates a suite of mobile applications and may also publish certain public-facing audio and media assets. We build our software and media on a foundation of "Compassion First," which means we believe your data is a liability we do not want to hold, not an asset for us to sell.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information generally across our applications, along with our public-facing policy for certain AI-generated audio and media. By using our apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. The Core Promise
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not build a profile of your behavior to sell to third parties. Our business model is based on supporting the apps, not exploiting the user.
2. General Information We Collect
A. Device & Usage Data
We may collect limited technical data essential for our apps to function, such as:
- Device type
- Operating system version
- Crash logs (if you have opted-in to share these via Apple)
B. Contact Information
- Identity: We rely on Apple’s "Sign in with Apple" or device-level authentication to verify you without storing your personal email on our marketing lists.
- Waitlists/Support: If you voluntarily email us or join a waitlist, we store your email address solely to contact you as requested. We do not sell this list.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party infrastructure to keep our apps running securely. These partners are selected based on their security standards:
- Apple: Used for payment processing (In-App Purchases), authentication, and distribution.
- Cloudflare: Used across our network for secure routing and, where applicable, encrypted temporary storage.
4. AI Audio & Media Policy
Brain Guardian Labs, LLC may publish certain audio and media created using generative AI tools under the direction of BGL staff.
We share this media because open access, experimentation, and compassionate use of AI are part of how we build. In the same way we design for people and privacy, we also believe creative tools should be used in ways that expand access rather than close it off.
A. How This Media Is Created
Some audio and media released by BGL is created with generative AI tools and reviewed by our team before publication.
We may publish this content through our apps, website, social platforms, video platforms, or other public channels.
B. Why We Share It
We make certain audio and media publicly available because we believe AI can be used in practical, creative, and compassionate ways.
Our goal is to share useful and enjoyable media openly, not to create unnecessary barriers around access.
C. Public Use of Released Audio
Unless otherwise stated on a specific page, file, or post, audio released by BGL is intended to be publicly available for listening, download, sharing, and reuse.
If a specific track, file, or release includes separate terms, restrictions, or credits, those terms control for that item.
D. Concerns About Infringement
If you believe any audio or other media published by BGL infringes your copyrighted material or other rights, please contact us so we can review the concern promptly.
When reaching out, please include enough detail for us to identify the material at issue and understand the basis of your concern.

App-Specific Privacy Addendums
The following rules apply strictly to the specific applications listed below, and operate alongside our Master Policy.
Swamp Chomp™
- No Data Collected by Us: Swamp Chomp has no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We operate no server for this game and receive no information about you or your play.
- On-Device Storage Only (iOS): Your high score and your audio, music, and haptics preferences are saved on your device using Apple’s standard app storage. Deleting the app removes them permanently.
- Game Center Leaderboard — Optional, Off by Default: Swamp Chomp includes an optional Game Center leaderboard. It is switched off when you install the game, and the app makes no network requests while it stays off — the game is fully playable offline in that state.
- If you turn it on in Settings, your high score is submitted to Apple’s Game Center service, where your Game Center nickname and photo are shown next to your score to other players. You can view the leaderboard scoped to your friends or to everyone.
- That information is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Brain Guardian Labs does not receive, store, or have access to it.
- Turning the setting back off stops any further submissions immediately. Scores already posted are held by Apple; you can remove them through Settings → Game Center on your device.
- On-Device Storage Only (Web): The browser version at swampchomp.app stores your high score and preferences in your browser’s local storage, on your own device. It has no Game Center integration and no account of any kind. Clearing your browser’s site data removes everything permanently.
- Website Hosting: swampchomp.app is served as static files through Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP address for security, routing, and abuse prevention. We do not add any tracking, cookies, or analytics of our own.
- Children: The game collects no personal information for us to store, share, or delete. If a child plays with the Game Center leaderboard switched on, that data is governed by Apple and by the Game Center settings on the device — including Apple’s parental controls for multiplayer and Game Center features.
Vanishr™
- User-Generated Content: When you send a photo or video moment, it is uploaded to our secure temporary storage (Cloudflare R2) so your recipient can view it.
- The "Vanish" Rule: All User-Generated Content is automatically scheduled for permanent deletion from our servers 24 hours after creation. We do not retain historical archives of your private messages.
Pet Guardian - PHR
- No Data Collected by Us: Pet Guardian has no Brain Guardian Labs account, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We operate no server for this app, and we never receive your pets’ records, your scanned documents, or anything you log.
- Your iPhone and Your Own iCloud: Everything you add, including pet profiles, health records, Daily Log entries, and saved documents, is stored on your iPhone and syncs through your own iCloud account to your other devices. Your iCloud data is held by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and Brain Guardian Labs cannot see or access it.
- Sharing a Pet Is Your Choice: You can share a pet with another person, such as a co-owner, through Apple’s iCloud sharing. The people you share a pet with can see that pet’s records, including its Daily Log and any documents saved to it, and can add entries of their own. The name you set for your phone is saved with each log entry you make, so the people you share with can see who logged what.
- Document Scanning Stays on Your iPhone: The app uses the camera only when you choose to, such as when you scan a vet document, and you can turn off camera access at any time in your iPhone’s Settings. Text recognition runs on your device. Scanned pages you save, and text you import into a pet’s health record, are stored with that pet’s record like everything else.
- Purchases and Scan Credits: Subscriptions and scan packs are bought through the App Store. Apple processes payment, and we never receive your payment details. Your scan credit balance is a small record of credits added and used, labeled with an identifier the app creates for each installation. It syncs through your iCloud so your credits follow you to your other devices and come back when you use Restore Purchases. A marker in your device’s Keychain records that your free welcome scans were already given; it contains no personal information and stays on the device even if you delete the app, so reinstalling does not grant them again.
- Siri and Shortcuts: If you use Siri or the Shortcuts app to log an entry, Apple processes the Siri request under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and the entry is saved like any other entry.
- Emergency Tools Work Offline: What you look up in the Emergency tab stays on your device. The toxin library and calculators are built into the app and need no connection.
- Deleting Your Data: Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Deleting the app removes its data from that iPhone, apart from the welcome-scan marker described above, and you can remove the app’s data from your iCloud at any time in your iPhone’s iCloud storage settings.
